Khabarnaak- Making news an entertaining piece of art

TV is home to many new and different concepts being introduced every day. These concepts have a very different approach every time they are introduced. Every concept runs every show and every show gets an entirely different emotion out of us. These emotions are definitely something that keeps those shows running. Every show gets an entirely different emotion out of us.

The action movies bring the action packed thrill inside our stomachs and the comedy movies make us forget our pain and think of something better about the world. Though in these concepts emerges an artist. An artist who has always wanted to do some sort of experiment to make television better. Sometimes these creations can be huge mistakes however sometimes they can lead to the next best thing that is going to hit the television in the best way possible. One of these experiments is Khabar naak and it definitely turned out to be a great experiment.

The Concept

I discovered this amazing comedy show a few days ago and in a few minutes it made me its fan. Khabar naak is a different sort of politically active talk show that makes people aware of how Pakistan’s political views reflects what actually is happening. Khabar naak is hosted by Aftab Iqbal. For those of you who don’t know who Aftab Iqbal is, you need to read his columns in the newspaper. Aftab Iqbal is a renowned journalist that has been writing for some of the best news agencies and newspapers in Pakistan for over 10 years now. Aftab sits on the show and shares his views on how the things that are currently a part of Pakistan reflect his views.

Interaction

You might have seen in most talk shows that 3-4 journalists share their views on what they think about the happenings of the country and what currently is going on but they never ask you. Well, that’s just not how Khabar naak works. Khabar naak is shooted in front of a live audience in GEO studios and views from all the audience are shared in the show. In addition, there is always an option to call in the show. You can call in the show and tell your views on the current affairs and become a part of the conversation.

The Blend

Where’s the blend? Here it comes. The show has a dummy of every politician in every episode. No, not a real dummy, you dummy. By dummy we mean a mimic artist that plays the role of the politician that is currently trending in the news. The dummy shares his views in the funniest of manners and that makes the audience laugh and galore on an international level. In addition, there are comedians accompanying the dummies at all time. 4 of punjab’s most renown stage comedians become a part of the show to turn some frowns into smiles and make some lips curve into perfection. If you want a dose of current affairs, stop watching the news, go for khabar naak.
